Guidance for buyers of a new-build apartment

Just bought a new-build apartment?

The selection stage starts now, and I'm here to make sense of it.

Choosing flooring, tiles, bathroom fixtures, taps, doors, a kitchen and countertops can be exciting, but it can also be confusing and expensive. I offer personal, professional guidance to buyers of new-build apartments, from making sense of the developer's specification through to choosing the materials and upgrades that suit your home, your style and your budget.

About

Nice to meet you

I'm Aida Laufer, an interior designer with around 15 years of experience in the field.

My reputation was built over years of thorough, professional work. Along the way I have had the privilege of working on large-scale projects and with leading Israeli companies, such as Migdalei HaTichon and the "Ad 120" chain, alongside hundreds of private clients who realized their design dreams with me.

In recent years I have focused on what I love most and do best: guiding investors and buyers of new-build apartments. I take you through it step by step, from choosing the kitchen, through the tiles and wall coverings, down to all the small details that make a home.

My aim is to give you peace of mind and create an impressive, high-quality result, all while keeping costs to a minimum and managing the budget wisely.

What we choose together

  • Tiles and flooring
  • Bathroom fixtures and taps
  • Doors
  • Kitchen and countertops
  • Coordinating colors and materials
  • Support at the showrooms
  • Help making decisions and staying on budget

Why bring in guidance?

Because the decisions you make now will stay with you for years.

The goal isn't to steer you toward the most expensive option. It's to help you choose well: avoid mistakes, save time, keep control of the spending, and end up with an apartment where everything works together.

  1. Arrive prepared

Walk into the meetings with the developer's suppliers knowing what the specification already entitles you to and what counts as an upgrade.

  2. Know where to upgrade

Go through the suppliers' quotes and understand where it is genuinely worth investing and where you can let it go.

  3. Make it all fit

Coordinating colors, shades and materials so the apartment reads as one continuous line, rather than a collection of separate decisions.

The experience you're missing, I have

Most apartment buyers don't know the world of materials, aren't sure what's reasonable to ask of a supplier, and have no way of comparing one quote to another. That's where I come in: I know the materials, the models and the suppliers, so you'll know exactly what suits you instead of having to guess. Every engagement is built from scratch around your needs, your style and your budget, never from a fixed template.

You don't have to be in Israel

The guidance works remotely too, over Zoom, so you don't have to be physically present at every meeting. I take care of getting to the showrooms myself, along with everything else that needs handling on the ground, so you can relax from start to finish.
